Congratulations to Mrs. Bosson and Mrs. Fitch! Mrs. Bosson is our Teacher of the Month and Mrs. Fitch is our Staff Member of the Month. They are both nominated multiple times this month!

Mrs. Fitch was nominated for being a rock star nurse at 6th Grade Camp and all around our district despite being on the verge of her maternity leave this month! She is also doing a great job organizing the Blood Drive for next week and preparing her substitute, Hannah Shaw, to cover for her while she is gone.

Mrs. Bosson was nominated for going above and beyond for a student with his interventions and making him want to come to school to improve his academics. She was also nominated for making a student comfortable at school despite a lot of nerves at the beginning of the year.

Congratulations to both of these ladies and also to all the other staff members who were nominated this month! Keep doing great things at our school !

Our library is feeling extra special thanks to the generous donations of books and reading buddies! We are so grateful to First Book and Build-A-Bear for helping us make reading even more fun and exciting for our students! These wonderful gifts will help us encourage a love of reading, spark imaginations, and create meaningful connections between students and the characters they read about.

Students who are present every Art class in October will be entered into a drawing for a Square One water bottle that features their OWN ARTWORK!!! A student in each grade level will be drawn at the end of October! Square One is a great fundraiser for our Art supplies, and it is a great way to get Christmas gifts for loved ones!

Guardians, you should be receiving an invitation to create the Rooms account. This is the messaging portion of the Apptegy app that allows you to communicate with your child(ren)'s teachers. You will be enrolled in classes that your child has on their schedule for the day. This will allow you to message and receive messages from your child's teachers.

RVHS Drones Overhead!

RVHS offers a Drone Operations course for students in grades 9-12 to learn how to safely fly small drones and prepare for the written FAA Unmanned Aircraft General - Small certification test.

Students from this class practice outdoor flights when the weather cooperates and the drones can often be seen from the RVIS playground. They are not “spy drones” as some students thought at recess… they are just HS students gaining some experience flying drones around our campus!

Delivery day for our Harvest Mum Buddies is today! The drive-thru pick up for all PK-6th families is at RVIS from 4p to 5:30p! Please, stop in and pick up your orders this evening!

If you are available to volunteer, we need help unloading and sorting orders from 1p to about 3p this afternoon and with drive-thru pick up from 4p to 5:30p this evening.
