Principal's Message

Welcome to the Conesville Elementary School page. The purpose of this webpage is to provide parents, students, and our school community with easy access to a wealth of information on our Conesville Elementary School programs, policies, and activities.

Conesville Elementary School is a great place to teach and learn! Our teachers are committed to a high quality learning experience focused on the individual needs of each child. We are striving to be creative and innovative in our instruction to engage students in their learning through a variety of multi-modal activities, applications of technology, and 21st Century skills.

Conesville Elementary School, located in Conesville, Ohio, serves approximately 330 students from Conesville and the other surrounding areas. Our school community has a long standing tradition of excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts. As a district, we are committed to our mission of preparing students to be productive citizens and life-long learners in an ever changing world.

We want each of our students to abide by the Black Bear Code.

Black Bear Code:

  1. Take Care of Your 20 square feet.
  2. Control Your "R"
  3. Serve Others to Create a Better You

Students can take care of their 20 square feet by "handling their business." This means we all take care of the job at hand, do our best on our work, and make sure we aren't worried about what others are doing more than our own responsibilities. Controlling our "R" comes from the concept that Event + Response = Outcome. We can't control the events that happen to us in life, but we can control our response to those events and create the best possible outcome of each situation. Lastly, we encourage our students to serve others. When we serve others, it creates a new perspective and improves our outlook in life. Some of the most positive and high-achieving people are individuals who serve others and lead through the servant-leader mindset.

I would like to take this time to open up communication between myself and the families. If you ever need anything from me or the school, please email me at or call 740-829-2334. We also have an active presence on Facebook at Check that page for lots of information about events and activities at our school and in our community. We are here to serve the students to the best of our abilities with your help. If you would like to get involved in events or fundraising activities, don't hesitate to reach out to our office at the phone number or email above.
